Fire connector for extinguishing fires

We have the only connector in the world that is used in fire trucks and fire equipment. We easily understand that mixed use of connectors is not allowed in fire engines. Strict standardization guarantees that the hoses always fit each other and the fire equipment when extinguishing a fire. The fire connector is made of aluminum and brass. The quality of the aluminum casting significantly affects the pressure resistance of the connector. A mixture that is too porous will cause the nail of the connector to break. For this reason, it should be ensured that the connector meets the SFS 3798 standard set for it. The fire connector is first and foremost a claw connector. You can check the size of the connector by measuring the gap between the nails on the connector. For example, in a 2-inch fire connector, the nail spacing is 68 mm. There is a good table in our catalog that shows the connector sizes and nail spacing. The Gost connector, which is rare in Finland, looks very similar to our fire connector.

When used correctly, the connector is a perfectly functional solution, for example, in submersible pumps and other water transfers under 10 bar. The connector is well suited for suction and pressure. Due to its lightness, it is nice and easy to handle. At high pressures and pressure shocks, the connector becomes a safety risk.
